Our Terms and Conditions as Written on Our Invoices:
TERMS: By signing below, I state that this animal was taken legally in compliance with State and Federal game laws. Lasting Impressions Taxidermy (L.I.T.) accepts NO responsibility for the legality of harvest of the specimen(s) listed on this invoice. All licenses, tags, and identification must be presented at the time of specimen check-in. L.I.T. makes EVERY effort to keep your trophy safe and secure while in its possession. However, L.I.T., It's owners or employees, will NOT be held responsible for loss or damage of any specimen(s) or other items resulting from: Theft, Fire, Vandalism, Flood, Third Party Loss or Damage, Natural Disasters or Mechanical Failures that are beyond our control. Items will be insured for no more than our mounting fee.
SPECIMEN CONDITION: Items are accepted with the expectation that the specimen has been properly cared for prior to our acceptance. L.I.T. will not be responsible for the unknown condition of frozen skins/dry salted skins at the time of acceptance. I understand that due to factors beyond the taxidermist’s control, such as field care, all tanning (whether done in-house or otherwise), is done at the customer’s risk. L.I.T. reserves the right to make reasonable changes and substitutions in order to complete your mount. If this results in additional charges, L.I.T. will attempt to notify you prior to making any changes.
DEPOSIT: All work is done on a rotating basis which does not begin until 1/2 (non-refundable) deposit is paid. Exception: Federally regulated migratory waterfowl must be paid in full at the time of acceptance. Any animal in our possession without a deposit after 1 year becomes the property of L.I.T. and may be sold, mounted, or disposed of without notification or compensation to the customer in accordance with applicable laws.
PAYMENTS: Payments will be accepted as follows-1/2 at the beginning and the final 1/2 at the end. We accept Cash, Local Checks, and Money Orders only. We no longer accept Credit Cards.
UPON COMPLETION: At the time of completion, the balance of the invoice is due within 15 calendar days of notified completion. If the item(s) are not paid for in full and picked up within 15 days, a $5 per day storage fee will be applied to the remaining balance. Any orders remaining unclaimed for more than 60 days following a Notice of Completion shall become property of L.I.T. and may be disposed of in accordance with applicable laws. L.I.T. reserves the right to retain possession of all work until checks for the final balances clear for payment.
INDEMNIFICATION: I agree to indemnify and hold Lasting Impressions Taxidermy, its officers, agents or employees harmless from and against all liabilities, claims, actions, proceedings, damages, losses, costs and expenses, including attorneys’ fees, for all injuries’ or death of any person, or damage to any property occurring or arising from or connected with, directly or indirectly, with my use of, or the installation, hanging, mounting or displaying of my mount specimen.
ESTIMATED TIME: I understand that the estimated completion dates are tentative, they are not guaranteed and subject to seasonal demand and other factors. Please refrain from calling to check the status of your order as this restricts L.I.T.'s ability to concentrate and complete projects. L.I.T. will notify you immediately upon completion.
Absolutely NO work will be released from the studio until the balance is paid in full – NO EXCEPTIONS! Checks returned for any reason will result in a $50 returned check fee. Any cancelled order will result in forfeiture of deposit. No cancellation(s) after commencement of any taxidermy work is permitted.
